To the best of our knowledge there were two other groups sharing the same name in the mid '60s: Randy Holden's band of "Mr. Pharmacist"
fame from San Francisco, and Kirby Bivan's group formed in Skokie, IL in 1965. Although we may have heard the Skokie-based group promoted
on the radio one day back then, it's amazing we never crossed paths.
We have no connection with a group by the very same name
formed in August of 2003 based in the Northern New Jersey area, nor the band from Hamilton (Ontario) Canada formed in 2005.
Turn up your sound!
Last but not least, imagine everyone's surprise when Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony formed a group some 40 years later under the same name!
As you listen to our song you won't hear the typical surface scratches as you would when someone transfers it to a CD directly from
the record. This version came directly from one of our 15ips half track mixes of the original recording session back in April
of 1967.
There was yet another "Other Half" that was organized in 1964 at Hartwick College, Oneonta New York. Read all about iton
the "New Stuff" page.
